Hello to anyone reading this and happy 2015! I haven’t blogged in the longest time, school, work, and friends have kept me crazy busy.

Sophomore year of college is going great! First semester is obviously over and that went well. Now, I feel like I’m constantly doing homework because of my language classes. I love French but I’m taking French 103 AND 104 and the same time AND they’re back to back on Mondays and Wednesdays. AT 8 AM. It definitely wakes me up..
Plus I’m taking Italian 103 at the same time but that’s a whole different story. Craziest thing happened the other night though, I had a dream in french. Like actually IN french. Hopefully that means I’m closer to being fluent?

One thing I’d like to talk about today is journals. Now I don’t know if you’re a girl, boy, older, or younger, but before you bash on journals or go read someone else’s blog let me give you an interpretation of what I think that is. I get the feeling a lot of people think journals are like diaries. Here’s the difference: I had a diary when I was a child and I’m sure if you did too any general entry went something like this,
“Dear diary, I’m so sorry I haven’t written in so long! Here’s what happened with that situation with Henry…”
hahaha yes? I’m not lying, I did too. And if that’s the type of thing you still do and it helps you and works then that’s awesome–good for you. I do not anymore, I have a journal (actually several now) and here’s what it looks like:
It’s called a doodle journal and it’s the best thing ever. It’s my stress reliever and it’s fun to do when you’re also just really bored. Basically what I do is find things I like and re-draw/write them into my book. Some of its original (by me), a lot of it’s not. A lot of the pages are quotes I love. You don’t even have to be good at drawing for this!

I basically just like crafts and this to me is like a craft. ๐Ÿ™‚
Thanks for reading, I’ll try to write again soon! Remember to stay spontaneous

Aaaaand we’re back!

It’s been a while! The past week was filled with crazy packing and moving. Now that the summer is coming to an end, it’s time to go back to school. I’m so excited that I get to move back in tomorrow! Of course, moving day is pretty much the craziest day of the year-worse than finals even. First you have to load up your car with everything you need at school, then once you get there you have to unload and pray your school has an elevator because who really wants to take boxes up one or more sets of stairs? Thankfully it’s the modern day so almost every place has an elevator. I really prefer the “moving in” day to the “moving out day” because at least when you move in you get to set up, decorate and really make your room your own space.

At my school there’s a cork-board wall in every room. Last year I made a collage on a small part of the board and it was made out of pictures and words cut out of a ton of Teen Vogue magazines. It was so fun but once in a while I get super bored and have a big urge to craft things or decorate. So a few months later I decided to expand my collage up onto the ceiling. My bed was lofted so it was almost like a canopy! So cute. This year’s decorations are still a work in progress so I’ll have to post a picture later.
Another fun craft to decorate your room with are quote strings! Write little sayings/quotes on small pieces of paper and paperclip or pin them onto long pieces of string to hang on your walls. It really makes a boring wall come to life.

So I think I’m in denial about going back to school. I’m super excited, but at the same time I almost don’t believe I’ll really be there tomorrow. The summer just went by SO fast. Classes start on Monday and it’ll be a lot of work this semester but completely worth it. French, Italian, Karate, a Religion class, a Civil War history class, and my honors seminar will definitely keep me busy!
I really want to not procrastinate this school year and also attempt to look somewhat put together every day, but somewhere deep down inside me my conscience is telling me I’m going to put things off until last minute like usual and there will be a lot of days I roll out of bed and go to class looking like a potato. Hahahhahaha at least I know myself well.. Time for bed! Big day tomorrow.

99 bottles of what on the wall?

Eeek it’s been almost 2 weeks since I last wrote! Being lazy is such a struggle sometimes hahhaa. Anyhoos, I was home for a week a while ago and it was glorious. I saw my family and friends and even went to the beach! Fantastic. And I’m wonderfully tan which makes me extremely happy. Today I don’t want to be serious so I’m going to talk about a few very random and silly topics.

1. The song: 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall
Okay I know this is odd, but seriously who made up this song? It’s ridiculous. Who even keeps 99 bottles on their wall? And beer at that! Why couldn’t it be apple juice or root beer? I’ll tell you why, because whoever made that song was drunk when they wrote it. THAT’S WHY. hahaha. Oh unless they ARE talking about root beer..alright this is getting confusing, onto random topic 2..

2. When people lose something and then say, “It’s always in the last place you look” when they find it
Yes. It will always be in the last place you look because one you’ve found what you lost why in the world would you keep looking?

3. Courage the Cowardly Dog on Cartoon Network
I am convinced that this entire show was on crack. I still love it though haha.
courage the cowardly dog

4. Popsicle Stick jokes
Does anyone remember these? The joke question would be on the end you can see and once you ate the popsicle the answer would be on the opposite end! I actually always thought they were funny just because they seemed so silly and corny.

5. What does the fox say?
Seriously though. What does it say? Siri (on the iPhone) doesn’t even know!

That’s all for today folks, hope you laughed a little at this post, I’ll write again soon!
Stay spontaneous!

Happy Independence Day!
Today was by far the best day of summer yet. My sister, our coworkers and I went to the beach at Lake Erie for the day. It was my first time there and it was amazing! You can’t even see the other side of the lake that’s how massive it is. It seriously looks like an ocean! And that’s not even the largest of the Great Lakes. I can’t even explain. PICTURE TIME

Yeah it’s huge.
So we spent the whole day having fun at the beach and then we got a bite to eat before heading back home. And later we had a bonfire with friends! You probably don’t care that much but I just had so much fun that I feel the need to share haha.
Oh yeah not to mention the sunburn I got.. I feel like a crispy cooked piece of toast! My legs are crazy BURNT. It’ll fade into a nice tan so it’s all good, that’s why I’m writing this post so late though, I’m too burnt to sleep hahaha.

Oh and also I’d like to give a big shout out to my close friend, Cole, who insisted on one over Skype. SHOUTOUT TO YOU COLE!!! hahaa he’s great. Although he proposed over Skype and I had to give him a big NO because there was no ring, no kneeling down, and it wasn’t in person. Sorry Cole! (And hey I’m way too young to get married!) ๐Ÿ˜‰
Boys are weird..

One more thing before bed, I’m going home for a whole week on Sunday!!! I haven’t seen any of my friends or family since early May so I’m suuuper pumped for this. Good food, family, crazy friends, what more could a girl ask for? I’ll write again soon!

Stay spontaneous!

This is kinda dumb but…

This post is partially about my hair. hahah I know it sounds completely dumb. On my blog my “profile picture” is me with straight hair. THIS IS A LIEE. Well not really. lol what I’m trying to say is I have naturally curly hair.

Imageย See?ย

I actually prefer my curly hair because it takes forever to straighten and it’s just a hassle. This past year at school I actually dyed it an auburn red a few times and then I eventually dyed it black and I thought it was going to stay like that because it was permanent dye…eeek. But it actually faded back to brown so yay ๐Ÿ™‚ Some days though it still sort of look red and black AND brown so I don’t really know.

Okay enough talk about my hair I’m starting to sound like a narcissist.ย

I found THE most awesome sweatshirt when I was online shopping the other day. It was a graphic sweatshirt and it has an scene of Spongebob and Squidward on it from the Krusty Krab pizza episode. And since that’s my favorite Spongebob episode, I obviously HAD to buy it. Check it out!

Imageย  Let’s just say it’s the bomb.com

I’m also still waiting for a few beanies in the mail. I got one that says GEEK on it because that pretty much just describes me, one that’s pink and has skull studs on the front aaand a California Republic beanie.ย

Actually funny story to the California Republic beanie. My close friend, Ben, got me obsessed with beanies and one fun night at school I stole it from him (he said I could wear it lol) and then proceeded to lose it sometime during the night. I have no idea where it went hahaha. So I bought one for him too so he can have his own again.ย

Random Fun Fact: Yesterday was the halfway mark to Christmas. yaaaaassss.ย

Alright I’m going to go read or journal or something, stay spontaneous!

xoxo, Noel

Sometimes you meet someone, and it’s so clear that the two of you, on some level belong together. As lovers, or as friends, or as family, or as something entirely different. You just work, whether you understand one another or you’re in love or you’re partners in crime. You meet these people throughout your life, out of nowhere, under the strangest circumstances, and they help you feel alive. I don’t know if that makes me believe in coincidence, or fate, or sheer blind luck, but it definitely makes me believe in something.

Ever have those nights you’re tossing, turning and just plain overthinking everything? Well, I’m officially coining this as a new sleep problem: Restless Brain Syndrome. Not sure if that’s a thing that already exists, but I am definitely a victim of this issue. Symptoms? Being sleep deprived, too many naps and a brain that just won’t settle! I swear, your conscience is like an annoying little brother or sister. Always pulling up old memories, judging everything and picking apart the good and bad parts. I totally wish it was possible to be able to not think at night. Maybe in that case I’d actually get some sleep. Anyone know a cure?

It’s also that time in the summer where I begin to miss all my friends. And since they’re all 5 hours or more away and a I haven’t seen them since the beginning of May, there’s good reason for some summertime sadness. But no worries, just a few more weeks and the road trip to see them all begins!

Countdown to school: 60 days exactly.
Can’t wait!
Stay spontaneous (and try to sleep a little, unlike me!)

Seester time/ Happy Birthday Justin!

So I’m currently spending the whole summer living in Edinboro, PA with my sister, Lauren, and I’m so happy that I get to see her 24/7. During the school year I really only get to see her during breaks which is only 3 or 4 times. That sucks because we’re such close friends. Some siblings don’t get along or never hang out and that seems so sad! I can’t imagine not having a sister or never doing anything together. We’re so close and basically share everything.

Today we were just chilling in the living room and spent an hour or so just talking about family. I usually don’t share my feelings or emotions-that’s just the type of person I am-but it was actually really great. I can’t really wrap my head around the fact that one day Lauren is going to be living away from me and starting a family. She’s just always been there for me, even when she left for her freshman year of college it made me sad haha. Maybe I’ll just stow away and go with her! Lol just kidding ๐Ÿ™‚

Today is also one of my best friends birthdays! Well I guess yesterday because it’s after midnight.. Anyway! Happy Birthday Justin! He probably won’t even read this haha oh well, I’m writing it anyway. How to describe him..hmm. Justin is one of the most sarcastic people I know but it’s actually pretty funny lol. He knows exactly what buttons to push to annoy me but I know a few of his as well! For example, he hates the sassy whale emoji ๐Ÿ‹. Hahaha I find this hilarious. Our “arguing” is always in good fun lol. He is also my music guru, always finding me new songs to like. Oh and Justin doesn’t think I’m funny. To him I am funny 1/500 times but it’s okay because I laugh at myself enough for the both of us! To sum it all up, he’s basically one of my best friends ๐Ÿ™‚

Well I’m probably going to fall asleep soon, time for bed. Goodnight friends!

Stay spontaneous,

xoxo, Noel

Tick tock..

Time. What a unique way of measurement. You know the saying, “life is short” ? Haha I find that so ironic. If you actually think about it, LIFE is the longest thing you’ll ever “do”. I guess it just depends how you look at it. Do you really measure life by the years, hours and seconds of time? Or do you think about it using different tools of measurement? Memories. Love. Family. Friends. Forgiveness. Sacrifice. Religion. And all the fun times!! To me, life is as long as you make it out to be. And if you don’t feel like you’ve truly been living, start! It’s never too late to have fun, experience new things and change your life around.ย

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

goodnight, stay spontaneous friends!

xoxo, Noelย
